The Vice President of Professional Development shall be responsible for developing plans and programs supporting the Alamo PMI Chapter’s education and professional development goals and objectives. This includes the provisions for PMP certification preparation courses and the availability of Project Management-related seminars, training programs, and events that will promote the project management profession and satisfy the PMP PMI requirements for obtaining Professional Development Units (PDUs).


Biography:
Paris brings 23 years of project management experience to the Alamo PMI Chapter.  He served in the U.S. Air Force for 14 years, with 10 years in logistics and project management assignments.  After separating from the U.S. Air Force, he joined ARINC Engineering Services, LLC as a project manager for 10 years, followed by 3 years at USAA’s Federal Savings Bank and Enterprise Business Operations.  He is currently seeking employment.

Paris originally hails from Athens, Greece, but did most of his growing up in Yonkers, NY.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Greek and Roman Civilization from the State University of New York at Albany and graduated from the Air Force ROTC program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.  He received his PMP certification in January 2009 after successfully completing the Alamo PMI Chapter PMP Prep Course.
