Module 1
Project Everest: Essential Steps for Successful Projects
Alan’s dynamic presentation focuses on developing leaders and strengthening project teams by reinforcing the professional development and project management skills that are essential for success in any project. This module sets the stage for the discussions and activities that take place throughout the course of the day. The underlying message is about how we as project managers need to reach new heights in the way we think and the actions we take in order to continuously improve ourselves and advance our profession. Alan creates a powerful and unforgettable journey for his audience by integrating captivating mountaineering and adventure stories with his innovative leadership and project management experience.

Module 2
Risk Management in the Face of Uncertainty
Risk management on projects is unfortunately an area where due-diligence is often sacrificed to some extent in an effort to satisfy tight schedule or budgetary requirements. The impact of overlooking or not properly understanding risks can be severe and can often inhibit or put an end to projects. In harsh and uncertain environments, risk events become that much more important to identify and understand so that effective response strategies can be implemented when needed.

Module 3
Emotional Intelligence for Managing Diverse and Complex Teams
This module includes practical tools and examples around emotional intelligence that can be implemented to achieve results, and Alan’s own transformation is an example of this. Our attitudes, moods and overall happiness in life are closely tied to our level of emotional maturity. We can become an inspiration for our families, our friends, our coworkers and ourselves if we focus on making incremental positive changes in our lives.

Module 4
Conflict Resolution and Overcoming Communication Barriers
This module is built around the fundamentals of a healthy project team, how to overcoming conflicts that arise, effective ways of communicating and how to manage the human resource element of a  successful project. Through hands-on activities and interactive discussions, we will discuss the development and effective management of project teams as well as various roles and responsibilities of team members. This module is concluded with a fun, hands-on activity using ropes, knots and other climbing equipment.
