Alamo PMI February 2021 Monthly Meeting
One of the hottest topics in the PMO world today is how to properly scale agile projects to work across multiple initiatives the PMO is addressing. However agile is just a subset of all the work being delivered by a project management organization, we need to figure out how to scale all aspects of the work being developed within the PMO. This means figuring out how to scale not only agile projects, but infrastructure projects, product implementation projects, organizational change management projects, product configuration projects, and the ongoing support and maintenance of existing products.
1) The participant will be able to articulate the issues surrounding scaling all work within the PMO to all stakeholders and business owners.
2) The participant will be able to identify all the components that need scaled within the PMO including resource utilization, benefits realization, product development, organizational change management, and various methodologies.
3) Participant will be able to define a process using the ” DA VSC” model to visualize how to scale all the work activities and the necessary sub processes required to support such a massive endeavor.

Dave Davis, PMP, PgMP, PMI-PBA, & PMI-ACP is a practitioner of and a recognized professional in project and program management, leadership, and business acumen. He possess over 35 years’ experience as a manager, project manager, program manager, business analyst, and knowledge manager. Dave holds 3 master’s degrees including an MBA, a degree in eBusiness Project Management and a graduate of the PMI Leadership Institute Master’s Program.
Dave has contributed to PMI in both service and content creation. He has published many articles and delivered presentations throughout the world; including the PMI Pulse of the Profession, PMI Benefits Realization Framework, and a subject matter expert in the PMI Global Conference “Ask an Expert” kiosk. He is also the founder of the Western Lake Erie Chapter, the founder of the Leadership Community of Practice, and a past member of the Management Advisory Group for the PMI Community of Practice. An active contributor to projectmanagerment.com website, Dave was recognized as one of the top 25 Influencers (number 16) in 2019 with an influence score of 89/100. His contributions include white papers, a semi-active blog, and multiple webinars.
Dave is currently a Senior Program Manager for Ohio Healthcare transforming the ITPMO to an IT Strategic Partner. He is also managing Merger & Acquisition projects. Prior to that, Dave worked for General Electric focused on implementing the “Digital Thread” combining IT and manufacturing within a Program called “Brilliant Factory”. He is also chairman of the Judy Hug annual Christmas Event and an active member of several other service organizations including: Mobile Meals, ALS Walk, S.A.V.E., and Nightingale's Harvest.
