Lean Six Sigma
Lean Six Sigma Exam Prep Courses
Our Lean Six Sigma provider is building the curriculum now. But who is building the class exactly? The answer is simple: Mike Carnell, co-creator of Six Sigma at Motorola in 1982. From Motorola, Mike went to Allied Signal, and then General Electric under Jack Welch, which really brought Six Sigma to the forefront. Now that Mike is ready to retire, he's switching from practitioner to instructor.
But what is Six Sigma? Six Sigma is what PMI® essentially refers to as "Quality Management." If you could create a PMI® credential for Quality, this would be it. Six Sigma literally means "six standard deviations from the mean average" or 3.4 dpmo (defects per million outputs). So, imagine you work at a winery that ferments 1,000,000 grapes per month. If Six Sigma tools (ex: Pareto Chart Historgrams, control charts, matrix diagrams, quality assurance vs. quality control, ANOVA (analysis of variance), etc) were properly used, then only 3.4 grapes out of the 1,000,000 used that month, would fail to meet the customers expectations. That's a pretty impressive number! And that must be some pretty impressive wine!
Project Vanguards LLC, our Six Sigma provider, will be exclusively rolling out the following classes by June 2021:
